Last week I think it was, we ran out of hyper-sal. I didn't think it was going to be that much of a deal. Figured we could just call it in and I would have it the next day and if not I would be OK, because during the school year I was always skipping it (bad idea for me, but i fixed that) and felt fine. Well we went to go fill it and they sad we needed a new prescription because ours ran out of fills. Okay not a big deal. We would call the office and get it and we would be good. Well silly me forgot how stupid our doctors office is! We called and a couple days later our CF coordinator called back and said she just barely got the message! They just pile stuff in a basket for her. She really needs a break. Well anyways, we got the new prescription for all 3 kids (somehow we all ran out at the same time). We go and take it in. Like the next day or something we get another call from CVS saying they need a doctors signature before they can fill it. Like seriously come on obviously they renewal of a prescription means it is OK. Finally we got it filled. But I left for Arizona with my cousins a couple days before. By then I was feeling like absolute crap! My chest was so tight and I was getting tired and coughing all the time. I couldn't take it anymore. I was doing extra treatments and swimming all the time and even running hoping it would help, but it really didn't. My mom got it called into a CVS in Arizona. But then my cousin kept saying that one was closed down, so we didn't go get it. Then I figured heck mine as well go see, so I walked down there, but then my mom called and said it was more expensive than she thought so I walked back. The next day my Aunt went down there and got it and it ended up being only $8. Boy am I annoyed of CVS. My Aunt walked in and I rushed to the door. It was like Christmas! I was so excited she had it. I ran down the whole and started it right away. I thought I felt like crap and was coughing a lot...boy was I wrong. Doing that hyper-sal made me cough sooo much! But I didn't care. I was just glad to have it. I did it and coughed up so much gunk. I coughed all the way to the lake, but when I got there i was finally able to breathe again. It felt GREAT! Not have a medicine really does make a difference! You may not realize it at first, but after a few days of missing, it starts to hit. I am so thankful for all the medicines I have and all the study's and trials that are going on to get me more!
By the way we left CVS after that (we have been having problems with them for a while and this was our last straw). We are now giving Walgreens a change. lol
